The NUMBER ONE asset for any online or catalog business is impressive product photography. Since online shoppers cannot touch the products you are selling, your photos must communicate their value. Photos are a direct reflection of your company and the products you are selling. Poor quality photos can often lead potential customers to seek other shopping destinations where they can experience trust.

Product is always the hero. No matter what style of catalog design or photograph, the point should always be to make the product the hero. The best (and probably the most common) catalog product photographs feature the product in bold color and stunning clarity shown with no background and a soft drop shadow. The benefits of this style of product photography are:

* Product jumps off the page
* Product photographs are larger
* The product photographs are more versatile

Avoid group shots. For the same reason that product shots with cropped backgrounds are good, group shots or shots of products with backgrounds are generally less favorable. Studies show that products in group shots typically have lower sales than products photographed individually. Exceptions to this rule are items such as books, cards and stationery.

How It All Works
Basically, you send me your product or I can pick up within 20kl radius of Hoppers Crossing, I photograph it and then send it back to you together with a CD of 3 different size images.

If the item is smaller than a basketball, I can photograph it.

All JPG images are single-layer and supplied "as shot" but with post-processing carried out to normalise brightness, contrast and tone levels. Other post-processing options are available at additional cost including clipping paths and drop shadows.

Standard image setup is free-standing against a plain white background (as shown in the sample photos on this page) with the photo taken from the viewpoint you specifiy. I can also shoot against plain green, blue, black or red solid colour backgrounds. Other backgrounds, reflectives etc are quoted accordingly

Under normal circumstances I will need to have the items here for approximately 5-7 days in order to get the photography done. I will email you proof images prior to despatching your items back to you.
